Boxer
shorts or loose boxers, as they are popularly known, are a type of men's
inner wear or underwear. Though boxer shorts are not as popular as men's
briefs but they are preferred more by young men. History of Boxer Shorts
The history of boxer shorts can be traced to 1925, when Jacob Golomb first designed trunks with elastic-waist, thereby replacing the the leather-belted trunks then worn by boxers. These 'boxer trunks' gained immediate popularity because of the comfort provided to the wearer.
Boxer Shorts Design
Boxers shorts are available in different designs for catering to a large number of men meeting their likes and preferences. Some of the designs are as follows:
- Boxer shorts with fly: These shorts are the most popular
and can have a button or a metal clasp for closing the fly.
- Gripper boxer shorts: These shorts have an elastic
waistband and also 3 snaps on the fly, so that they can open up
completely.
- Yoke front boxer shorts: These shorts do not have an elastic waistband.
